Die Galerie aquabitArt ist stolz darauf, erstmalig die Werke von Michael Kirch<\/strong> zu pr\u00e4sentieren, einem Mathematiker und ehemaligen Wall Street Strategist, jetzt in Berlin lebenden K\u00fcnstler und Unternehmer.<\/strong> In den letzten drei Jahren hat sich Michael Kirch in seinem Atelier in Berlin-Neuk\u00f6lln darauf konzentriert, eine Reihe von Skulpturen und kinetischen Installationen aus Bronze, Marmor und Alabaster<\/strong> zu schaffen. Ab dem 1. Februar sind zentrale Elemente der Ausstellung auch online \u00fcber Live Stream und Video erfahrbar.<\/p>\n

So streamt \u201cBalancing Act: Live<\/strong>\u201d den ganzen Monat live aus der Galerie, 24×7. Hier gleitet eine schwarze Polyesterkugel von 16 cm Durchmesser \u00fcber eine 3m lange, 100kg schwere wei\u00dfe Marmorplatte welche an d\u00fcnnen Stahldr\u00e4hten aufgeh\u00e4ngt frei im Raum schwebt. Die stetig alternierende Bewegung, durch einen unsichtbaren Balancierungs-Mechanismus erzeugt, l\u00e4dt zu einer Meditation \u00fcber Anf\u00e4nge, Transformationen und Enden ein. Gerade in der Pandemie ist es eine Herausforderung, die Balance zu wahren oder zu finden<\/strong>. Betrachter:innen k\u00f6nnen Balancing Act: Live<\/strong> \u00e4hnlich wie ein virtuelles Kaminfeuer<\/strong> auf ihrem Fernseher abspielen. Dabei erdet und verbindet Betrachter:innen das Bewusstsein, dass dies jetzt, in diesem Moment, wirklich in Berlin passiert.<\/p>\n

Donnerstags 18:30-18:45<\/strong> \u00fcbertr\u00e4gt die Galerie einen zus\u00e4tzlichen LiveStream in welchem der K\u00fcnstler ausgew\u00e4hlte Werke in der Galerie diskutiert.<\/p>\n

Die entstandenen Objekte sind elegant und urspr\u00fcnglich<\/strong>. In Michael Kirchs Werken vereinen sich Sinnlichkeit, Sexualit\u00e4t und Sch\u00f6nheit<\/strong> zu einer kreativen, heilenden Kraft. W\u00e4hrend der Betrachter um eine jede Skulptur herumgeht, spielen Objekt und Betrachter gemeinsam ein Spiel von Sch\u00fcchternheit und K\u00fchnheit,<\/strong> von Verletzlichkeit und Sicherheit<\/strong>, von Gesehenwerden und Verstecken<\/strong>. Die Skulpturen balancieren in \u00e4sthetischer Harmonie und enth\u00fcllen durch einen Wechsel der Perspektive ein reiches Innenleben.<\/p>\n

Michael Kirch sagt: „Der Dialog meiner Werke mit der \u00d6ffentlichkeit ist ein wichtiger Teil meiner k\u00fcnstlerischen Reise. Ich hoffe, dass die Verbindung von virtuellen und real-life Elementen den Einstieg in diesen Dialog erm\u00f6glicht welcher der aktuellen gesellschaftlichen Herausforderung gerecht wird. Es war stets mein Wunsch, mit der Ausstellung einen sicheren Raum<\/strong> zu kreieren in dem Betrachter mit sanfter Neugier ihre Gef\u00fchle erleben k\u00f6nnen. Was genau ein sicherer Raum ist, wie wir sichere R\u00e4ume schaffen,<\/strong> das sind Fragen die mich schon lange besch\u00e4ftigen.
