Zum zweiten Mal bringt die Berlinage Residency Kollagen-K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler aus verschiedenen L\u00e4ndern f\u00fcr zehn Tage zusammen, um gemeinsam zu arbeiten und auszustellen. Diesmal geht es darum, das Spannungeverh\u00e4ltnis zwischen imagin\u00e4ren St\u00e4dten, Utopien und der Realit\u00e4t des urbanen Alltags zu erkunden. <\/p>\n

Seitdem sich Menschen in St\u00e4dten versammeln, haben diese St\u00e4dte ihre idealen – oder schattenhaften – Gegenst\u00fccke. Traumst\u00e4dte, potenzielle St\u00e4dte, Zukunftsst\u00e4dte. <\/p>\n

St\u00e4dte sind Produkte menschlicher Vorstellungskraft und unterlaufen gleichzeitig jede ehrgeizige Planung, weil sie – von Menschen genutzt – lebendigen Gebilden sind, die niemals vollst\u00e4ndig kontrolliert werden k\u00f6nnen.
K\u00fcnstlerische Interpretationen stellen St\u00e4dte nicht nur dar, sondern haben auch die Macht, ihre Identit\u00e4t zu formen – wir sehen Prag mit den Augen von Franz Kafka und spazieren durch Dublin auf den Spuren von James Joyce.<\/p>\n

Der Ort, an dem K\u00fcnstler aufgewachsen sind, an dem sie jetzt leben, pr\u00e4gt, wie sie Berlin erleben und welche Aspekte sie interessieren. In einer Gruppe von Kollagenk\u00fcnstlern tr\u00e4gt jeder zum kollektiven Feld bei und produziert Berlin-Schnipsel, die es so noch nicht gab. <\/p>\n

Die Ausstellung entsteht in zwei Teilen: Bevor die K\u00fcnstlerinnen und K\u00fcnstler nach Berlin kommen, fertigen sie Arbeiten zum Thema Imaginary City, die ab dem 14.5. in der Galerie zu sehen sind. In Berlin entsteht dann eine zweite Serie von Arbeiten, die die Ausstellung vollenden. <\/p>\n
