Der Begriff Panglossian ist angelehnt an Panglo\u00df, eine grenzenlos positiv eingestellte Figur aus Voltaires Candide oder der Optimismus von 1759. Diese Geschichte kritisiert das <strong>rein optimistische Weltbild<\/strong> von Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz und zeigt darin auf, welche Konsequenzen es haben kann, dem Glauben an das Wohlwollen zu unterliegen und ihm blind zu folgen.<\/p>\n<p>Mackenroth schlie\u00dft sich Candides Sicht an und spielt mit den <strong>tradierten Ansichten \u00fcber K\u00fcnstlerinnen<\/strong> und K\u00fcnstler, die bis heute noch in vielen K\u00f6pfen verankert sind. Diese Realit\u00e4t veranlasste Mackenroth 2015 zum Bau der ersten <strong>Nagellackmalmaschine<\/strong>. Aus dem vermeintlichen Unverm\u00f6gen der K\u00fcnstlerinnen ordentlich malen zu k\u00f6nnen, entwarf und patentierte Janine Mackenroth Konstruktionen, die das Malen f\u00fcr sie erledigen \u2013 entsprechend der Behauptung des K\u00fcnstlers Georg Baselitz &#8222;Frauen malen nicht so gut. Das ist ein Fakt.\u201c im <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/spiegel\/print\/d-90638333.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" title=\"\u203a SPIEGEL-Interview 2013\">\u203a SPIEGEL-Interview 2013.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Nagellack, der aufgrund seiner Assoziierung und Geschichte ganz klar den Frauen zuzuordnen ist, versteht sich hier als zum Gem\u00e4lde <strong>SCHWARZ ROT GOLD 760 No.1 <\/strong>geronnener Feminismus. Im engen Zusammenhang damit steht die Serie <strong>PAPERWORKS<\/strong>. 2015 bis dato fertigte Mackenroth zahlreiche Zeichnungen mit Lidschatten, Lippenstift, Mascara an. 24 St\u00fcck davon pr\u00e4sentiert sie als <strong>ADVENTSKALENDER<\/strong>, jeden Tag eine, welche auf den sozialen Medien zum Verkauf angeboten werden. Sie greift damit erneut zur\u00fcck auf Sch\u00f6nheitsprodukte, die sie umnutzt und ihren Wert in Form von Kunst unterstreicht. Gleichzeitig ist es aber auch ein Verweis auf Massenmedien (und eben wieder die Massenkultur) und deren Normalit\u00e4t und N\u00fctzlichkeit in Leben und Beruf.<\/p>\n<p>Auch mit dem <strong>SIEGELRING F\u00dcR FRAUEN IN DER KUNST <\/strong>eignet sich Mackenroth ein Zeichen der h\u00e4ufig m\u00e4nnlichen Macht an und bearbeitet es so, dass prim\u00e4r Frauen davon profitieren. Wie bei der <strong>MONEYGUN<\/strong>, unterstreicht sie auch hier die Relevanz von Netzwerken und Zusammenschl\u00fcssen von Frauen in der Kunstwelt. Ihre Arbeit <strong>100 YEARS OF WOMEN AT GERMAN ART ACADEMIES <\/strong>nutzt 155 Cent Briefmarken, um in einer fiktiven Edition die 100. J\u00e4hrung von Frauen an den deutschen Kunstakademien zu w\u00fcrdigen, deren Jubil\u00e4um ein wenig zu leise gefeiert wird.
