\n Eine kleine Betrachtung der aquabitArt-Galerie<\/strong>\n <\/p>\n

Unten, am Ende der ber\u00fchmten Auguststra\u00dfe, die in Berlin als eine der Galeriemeilen gilt, befindet sich die Galerie aquabitArt. Schon fast aus dem Blick – \u201eIst da noch was?<\/strong>\u201c, werden sich viele Galerie-hopper gefragt haben. Ja nat\u00fcrlich, da sind immer sehr interessante Ausstellungen! Der kleine Raum mit der riesigen Fensterscheibe wird fast immer als „Raum“ bespielt. Selten gibt es klassisch aufgeh\u00e4ngte Bilder. Meist wird das Volumen als Installationsk\u00f6rper<\/strong> gesehen, der selbst eine Einheit mit den Kunstwerken<\/strong> bildet.<\/p>\n

Zumindest sehe ich das so. Ich kenne Irina schon l\u00e4nger als ihre Galerie, ich fand es ist ein wunderbarer Schritt, neben ihrer architektonischen Praxis einen Kunstraum zu entwickeln. So wie sie das macht, haben sieviel gemeinsam.<\/strong> Sie sieht die Galerie immer als einen eigenst\u00e4ndigen Raum-K\u00f6rper, der die Kunstwerke, Gem\u00e4lde oder Skulpturen in unterschiedlichen Proportionen pr\u00e4sentiert.<\/p>\n

Irina hat mich mehrmals zu Einzelausstellungen eingeladen. Das erste Mal mit einer Skulptur, die fast den ganzen Raum ausf\u00fcllte. 4 Meter hoch, nahm das \u201eGrasgewitter<\/strong>\u201c die Besucher in andere Dimensionen mit (sie f\u00fchlten sich kleiner?). Jetzt, nach 11 Jahren, ist das „Grasgewitter reloaded<\/strong>“ wirklich hoch gewachsen!<\/p>\n

Anschlie\u00dfend habe ich haupts\u00e4chlich Gem\u00e4lde bei ihr gezeigt. Immer waren die Werke als Installation spannend ausgerichtet. Auch gegen die Blickrichtung.<\/strong><\/p>\n

THE MESSAGE<\/h2>\n

Nach 11 Jahren als Kunstgalerie in der Augustra\u00dfe 35 in Berlin-Mitte, die Kunstwerke „physisch<\/strong>“ in den Galerier\u00e4umen zeigt, und nach insgesamt 17 Jahren<\/strong> nach ihrer Gr\u00fcndung als „Online-Galerie“ findet nun eine tempor\u00e4re R\u00fcckkehr<\/strong> in die „Online-Welt“ statt.<\/p>\n

Zur Zeit der „Krone“, wenn wir uns in einem erzwungenen (auch spirituellen) R\u00fcckzug befinden, wird vieles von dem, was wir jetzt tun, virtuell<\/strong>.
Wo bleibt unser Bed\u00fcrfnis nach physischem Kontakt<\/strong>, als physische, zum Teil materielle Lebewesen?<\/p>\n

1998 kam ich nach Berlin, um mein Studium an der UdK (damals noch „Hochschule der K\u00fcnste“) abzuschlie\u00dfen. Ich kam aus Bilbao<\/strong> und war begeistert von Berlin<\/strong>, von einer Stadt, die mir die Moderne in ihrer ganzen Pracht zeigte. Die Kunstwelt sprudelte vor Technik<\/strong>, eine gro\u00dfe Schar der Kunstwerke war damals mit hochspezialisierter Elektronik und Computertechnik ausgestattet, Kunst & Technik<\/strong> war das Motto, war sogar der Name eines in Mitte stehenden Berliner Clubs. Auch ich wollte ein Teil davon sein und begann, mich mit dieser technologischen Welt zu befassen.<\/p>\n

Um die Jahrhundertwende hatten wir damals die gr\u00f6\u00dfte Ausstellung meines Lebens organisiert. Es war das sehnlichst erwartete Jahr 2000<\/strong>, das Internet hatte wirklich begonnen, der „Dot-Com-Rausch<\/strong>“ war geboren, jeder wollte eine Internet-Pr\u00e4senz haben, jeder wollte etwas mit der virtuellen Welt zu tun haben; auch ich. Nun, als ich mich an die Arbeit machte, fand ich in so vielen Kunstarbeiten eine Leere<\/strong>, die durch die hervorragende Technologie ersetzt werden wollte, schaffte es aber nicht. Das brachte mich dazu, eine Verbindung<\/strong> zu dieser Technologie und dieser m\u00f6glichen Leere herzustellen.<\/p>\n

So entstand die „VIDEOINSTALLATION<\/strong>“ – ein Titelvorschlag von Professor Heinz Emigholz, den ich sofort als sehr passend empfand. Der Titel ist ein generisches Wort, ein Verweis auf eine Art von Kunstwerk, das in dieser Arbeit metaphorisch angesprochen wird. Eine Videoinstallation, bei der es nicht um eine Konstruktion aus elektronischen und Computerkomponenten geht, sondern um die Form selbst<\/strong>, die diese Konstruktion selbst interpretiert. Daher findet man ironischerweise keine eigentliche Videoinstallation, sondern 4 in Holz geschnitzte Monitore, 40x40x40cm, auf 4 wei\u00dfen Sockeln<\/strong>. Einer der Monitore wurde 2001 aus meinem Atelier gestohlen, und so wurde die „VIDEOINSTALLATION<\/strong>“ in 3 Einzelteile zerlegt. Im Jahr 2020<\/strong> tragen sie als einzelne Unikate stoisch die Laufschrift der Zeit<\/strong> ..<\/p>\n

Mit diesem Bezug auf die virtuelle Welt durch ein Werk aus reiner organischer Materie<\/strong>, tr\u00e4gt „VIDEOINSTALLATION<\/strong>“ bei, einen Zyklus<\/strong> der Galerie von „online“ zu „offline“ und wieder „online“ zu schlie\u00dfen.<\/p>\n
