NewEye Berlin is an annual Study Away that brings young artists to Berlin from California.

Inspired by the seminal children’s book by Heinrich Hoffmann, students from Pasadena’s ArtCenter College of Design present a series of letterpress prints, and ephemera in a lively exhibition and sale. Each artist has interpreted one of the dark cautionary tales, utilizing printmaking and illustration techniques to create startling contemporary contemplations on personality and character.

This exhibition is sponsored by the Illustration Department at ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena along with ArtCenter’s Hoffmitz Milken Center for Typography (HMCT) and Archetype Press.
