WOMEN IN FOOD

Vintage charm combined with sensuality and a pinch of irony – in mid-April, the new art exhibition “WOMEN IN FOOD” presents contemporary collages and combines food advertisements from the 50s to 80s with modern fashion photographs.

How has the portrayal of women in the media changed since the 1950s to the present day?
And are there still parallels to those days?

As a photographer of many years’ standing, Bastian takes photos of women and immerses them in the worlds of food advertising from the past. In contrast to the campaigns of past years, the female protagonists take centre stage and are intended to highlight the timeless sensuality and complacency of modern women.
