In her oil and pigment works on canvas, Annette Selle condenses thousands of individual dots of colour into floating formations. Against luminous, scraped-back grounds, fields emerge that recall star fields, clouds, or flocks of birds without ever becoming figurative. Her painting unfolds through rhythm and movement: layers of colour are exposed, overlaid, and opened up again. The result is a pictorial space suspended between abstraction and memory, between stillness and inner dynamism.
