It is also a time of upheaval, a time to leave the old behind and embrace the new.
A time of contemplation, of looking back and looking forward, but also a time when we can focus on ourselves and our innermost wishes and goals in this life.
A time for reflection.
For the first time, aquabitArt is showing all 8 artists of the gallery in a real, offline group exhibition.
It brings together very different artistic positions on the theme of REFLEXION in the form of painting, drawing, sculpture and photography.
In her most recent works, Paula Klien combines the digital medium of photography with the analogue haptics of painting. She starts with a drawing with Chinese ink, which is scanned, digitally processed and printed in a limited edition using a valuable digigraphic process.
The original pictures are folded and the mirror effect creates a kaleidoscopic mirage. An artistic position that raises analogies to the projective Rorschachs test seems to emerge from the unconscious and long for interpretation.
Paula Klien's lyrical abstractions radiate a feeling of darkness, fluidity and a rough but profound elegance.
